October 1971 Darine Sterns Cover Framed Print
Playboy’s legacy is deeply rooted in the pursuit of pleasure and the celebration of diversity and inclusion. This art print is the iconic PLAYBOY Magazine cover in October 1971 featuring Darine Stern. Darine was the first Black woman to pose on the cover of Playboy, and years ahead before top fashion magazines had a Black woman grace their covers.
The cover was a hit with an estimated 6 million copies in print. In 2005, it was listed by the American Society of Magazine Editors as one of the most important magazine covers of the past 40 years.
